Re: Unable to Login to Character
It's oldschool.dspt.info and it's up. It could have been down when you tried? It is occasionally down, most likely would be during US working day hours or middle of the night.

Re: scripting mob 2hour use
NIN certainly go boom in dynamis, at least on classic (oldschool) server.horizon wrote:You mentioned the mobs in dynamis and this has me thinking. I don't recall ever seeing a dyna mob use its 2hour on my server.
We've wiped on SMN avatars astral flow in dynamis, too.

AH/Roster pages down?
Are the AH and roster pages down? I don't think I've seen them working since the recent server outage.

Re: Old school server status
Have you tried mounting the vmdk on your host os?
VDDK has vmware-mount.exe that can mount .vmdk files. I have no idea how it would handle corrupt disk images, though.

Specific XI View thread:

Look for Caradog's posts. S/he packages it [XI View] up nicely for easy use.
Caution: If there's a FFXI client update, having an outdated XI View patch applied can cause client crashes.

Re: Dynamis runs
I can probably be a late add if you're starting at that time.
I'm more likely to get on a couple hours later (putting kids to bed etc).

Re: FFXI Keyboard
It's listed at over 2x original price. Original product page: http://www.hori.jp/products/pc/ff11keyboard/ It looks like a customized Topre Realforce. Getting a standard Realforce in NA can run you 200-300 USD range. I'd be curious what the keycaps are (material/printing). Would be a shame if the pr...

I finally found a tool to let me replicate what I saw in a YT video, with PIP (picture-in-picture)-style multiple windows. You can do always-on-top, borderless, and transparency. Only works on Vista and later. https://ontopreplica.codeplex.com/ One caveat: At least for FFXI windows, I had to leave t...
