Re: Direction
Excuse my ignorance, but if I did use VirtualBox, would I have to have the computer on all the time for people to connect to the server? Or what is the advantage to using virtualbox? Right now I am trying to install all of the software on a laptop with a Sempron 3300+ and ati xpress 200 video card....

Re: Save the Children redo
You still have to go do the story part in the chapel first before the door will open. You just cant grab the quest and head straight through the door. *** im sure you can reset mission progress by using navicat/sqlyog in the dspdb files, but im almost 100% sure they just need to get the cutscene in ...

Re: Old DRG 2 hour anyone?

Re: Old DRG 2 hour anyone?
It is also a bad idea for the time being to make "Call Wyvern" a 2 hour ability simply because pets are lost when zoning. Until that is fixed, it would be devastating to DRG to extend that timer from 10 min to 120. Yea i know.. I still havent found the code that even checks for a pet on zoning.. I ...

Old DRG 2 hour anyone?
So i know there's a bunch of people that prefer the older ffxi (as do i) but has anyone thought about reverting the wyvern back to the 2hr ability like before? Or would this just be considered "unbalanced" to the majority of players?

Re: BCNM's what works and what does not
San'd oria mission 2-3 "the journey abroad" worked fine for me just completed it. But i think all the 2-3s share a similar bug if you visit the consuls in the wrong order. Which it should give you different quests depending on the path you choose.. with san d'oria's 2-3 you have to go to windurst fi...

Re: NPC: Rex (Port Bastok, J-7)
Makes sense. Seem's like a huge hassle to stay up to date with all the latest ffxi client changes. Would there be a way to pick one version of the client and develop around that or build into the logon program (MXI or FFXIBoot) the portion of POL that runs the file update check? Should I, as a play...

Re: Advanced Configurations
Everything patched fine except the 'healing.lua' so i was wondering since i had modified it previously if that would stop it from patching correctly?
