Just thought I'd let you know that the official DarkStar Test Serrver now works again thanks to the efforts of Whasf! Give him a big hand and then make sure you pop on and play there again.

Remember, you can grab the server IP from the wiki!

I'm no expert on the subject (nor an amateur for that matter, heh) but let's see... It looks like your zoneIP isn't actually set to your WAN IP. Basically, when you have a router your computer has an IP address that leads to the router (192.168.1.xxx). Using that IP would work on the PC tied to that...

Sort of! I had problems connecting to the official server though, not something I hosted myself. That small detail actually makes it an entirely different issue I'm afraid - whereas I needed to get Whasf's attention about his server and you need someone's help to fix your own. Thank you for your reply atom0s. I have tried using the specific Ashita v2 that you linked me to but alas the problem still persists. I have this Ashita installed to a different location than the one I use to play on the other servers just to be sure. Any other ideas? EDIT: Wait, you were helping Si...

I'm asking because right now me and a friend are on a look for a very specific setup in a server. We'd like it to be up to WotG but without the ridiculous "fun server" experience rates of like 10x and beyond. FFXI Origins seemed perfect as it pretty much had the setup we've been looking for, except ...

I'll wait a while and see if he catches this thread before I start nagging him with PMs I think. I could play on another server, but ... well, Era is way too laggy and it's driving me and my buddy up a wall, and he can't handle the retail experience rate of the old-school server (which is a shame). ...

Yep, I updated my client earlier today (again) just to make sure it was all good to go. I think I'll have to wait for whasf to check it out, if it's still a running server that is.
