I actually went with a Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter VM, 4 vCPU, 26GB RAM, 500GB HD. I have everything installed, just need to configure it.

Hi all. I have access to google cloud, and can easily create a decent VM with the amount of credit I have on the platform. The VM would be Ubuntu 14.04, so I shouldn't have any issues with setting up the server software. Is something like this viable? Technically, I do not know a ton of stuff about ...

Hi, hope this thread is the proper place to ask this... but how does one create a user account on this server? I tried a bunch of different usernames, and the server kept returning that they were already in use. At one point I was choosing completely random, obscure names... same result. Any help wo...
