Re: 3d zone models

I think bake is mainly for textures not models. I'm not sure why you are unable to save in blender shouldn't matter if you have a object selected or not. hmm I'll get recast and see if I can help.

Re: 3d zone models

@gedads - Well honestly I haven't used recast to work on navigation. I'm ripping the models for my own project, so I won't be much help there. I just wanted to share how I was getting the models because I thought it would help others out. It does seem from the screenshots you posted that recast is s...

Re: 3d zone models

That seems to be correct.

What do you want to do with it?

I'm just working on ripping them, and texturing them. Then I'm going to try and organize the objects in the file better.

Re: 3d zone models

@gedads - Once I have it in blender, 1st I press the scale button on the left side of the screen twice. The coordinates then show up on the bottom left. I change then to x=0.0025 y=0.00625 z=0.0025 to make them easier to work with in blender. If you want to keep the original size just change the y c...

I found that once I open a zone I just hold ctrl and the down arrow from the origin. That moves me along one axis, I move until I'm around 2500 units away from the origin. I the...

Re: 3d zone models

Since this seems like it would be helpful I think it would good for me to explain how I did it, and see if it would be improved upon, and so others can do it as well since there are around 219 zones. (not counting the new SoA expansion) I use basically 3 programs: ffxitool2.exe from the jp ffxitool ...

3d zone models

Hello, I've been working on ripping some of the zones just for fun, and was wondering if they would help the DarkStar Project at all? I know in creating private servers monster movement is usually a problem. I just don't know if it was due to not having the spatial information of the environment or ...
