Re: Weapon ID bot on wiki page
I just went to the list to check an ID and noticed this too. It's just a long list of IDs with no weapon names.

Re: SMN unlock wackiness
I tried my idea just to see what happened. I went into the DB and set I_CAN_HEAR_A_RAINBOW to 127, then I took the character to a no-weather zone and did a @cs on the Carbuncle event. It played the orange scene, then went into the next part telling the character to go to the ??? in La Theine. So I g...

Re: SMN unlock wackiness
I'm assuming the three affected values are in the char_vars table. Looking at the quest script as a reference, I_CAN_HEAR_A_RAINBOW is set to 125, which would be the value given to someone who got all the colors except orange (the orange event adds 2 to the total, and the final cutscene is triggered...

SMN unlock wackiness
While going through I Can Hear a Rainbow, I made the at-the-time-unknown mistake of being on a chocobo. Sure enough, I got hit with the orange bug. It was about that time I figured something was up...conveniently too late to keep it from happening, but when you don't know there's a bug to watch out ...

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
Problem solved. I thought back to the previous time when I'd had multiple players on, which happened to be when a player had made their character and logged in for the first time. I set up a test account on the host machine, and it didn't work. Then I figured I'd try hairpinning it, and it logged in...

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
Okay, I double-checked that I compiled the servers as 32-bit just to be on the safe side, and they were. Then I cleaned and rebuilt the game server, but it still only allows one person at a time in. Anyone else just gets FFXI-3001 until that first player's session data is deleted. Is there anything ...

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
So that just leaves my issue. I've been going through some old posts in the forum, and I came up with one idea I thought I'd run by everyone to see if it might be worth looking into. Almost every time the invalid packets rear their head, it's something to do with the Blowfish encryption, which doesn...

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
I'm still trying everything I can think of to get around this, but I'm honestly out of ideas. I can't see any reason why the server would allow multiple players on and then just stop. Is there anything else I can try?

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
Always appreciative of all the help, but neither suggestion worked. I edited the other player's zone info in the DB trying multiple locations, and still got the packet errors. I tried @resetplayer and sent them to Jeuno, and it's still happening. The game server will drop the character into the worl...

Re: Game server won't accept more than one player?
When somebody can't connect, it's doing the "Client cannot receive packet or key is invalid" warning over and over. I've tried every combination of account/inside and outside connection/computer possible, and the only development is that now nobody can log in.
