You grow accustomed to the slower movement speed. It adds challenge to the game.
The sense of risk versus reward before attacking something becomes much greater and enhances a gaming experience imo.

Re: New client loader for test server
I can't seem to find a link to download the latest version of ashita on the FFEVO website. I searched around on the site and all I see are a bunch of extensions. I'm currently using the ashita client linked in the OP. edit. nvm I think I'll just roll back to my old version of files until the new ver...

Re: BCNM's what works and what does not
If we can do the level 55 limit break then level up to 60 I'm sure we can take on Taisaijin ;p
He drops the refresh scroll. Something to aim for until BCNM's are all sorted out.

Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
I don't think the Jescin client works any more. I haven't been able to get it to work since I recently updated my ffxi game to the patch server. FFXI ver 30121205_4 (the 1205 is the date when i updated Dec 5) Ashita still works somewhat but the add on's give me a message that pointers need to be upd...

Re: New client loader for test server
Is there a guide on how to use the new Ashita loader. I'm assuming that new one takes into account all the recent changes to the game. I tried the old ashita and it gives a message about pointers being off or something but the game still loads. It's just all the add on's don't function correctly. I ...

Beastmaster Ability Stay
I put a bug report here. http://bugs.dspt.info/show_bug.cgi?id=384 The Beastmaster Ability "Stay" allows a player to make their pet sit in one spot and recover HP quickly. However, with the current set up, a pet that has been "Stay"ed will not attack a creature after the command "Fight" is given. Cu...

Re: Change movement speed?
Idk how difficult it is to set up a system like that. I've been following EQClassic also and one of the developers over there said it was difficult to do all the line of sight algorithms by hand so he made a graphic node validation tool. Ie. if the monster is chasing you it will follow pathing nodes...

Re: Change movement speed?
It only really comes into play when you are trying to run from stuff. Close in dungeons might have a problem with aggro through walls like palborough mines or Garlaige Citadel, but for the most part it's manageable as long as you keep in mind monsters aren't restricted in the ways they can move righ...
