Question about installing and crashing

Wondering what install files people used..did you install final fantasy xi from a cd? or download online?
I had this game working perfectly last year. I installed on my new computer but from a different set of files
i downloaded. Is there a specific place to get the right files? After opening ashita, final fantasy immediatly crashes
and i cant even get to the first screen with the crystal intro video. I did the check files through playonline, exactly how
i was supposed to, but i get an error about the network, and its not from my wifi. any help would be appreciated, i know
ive been asking a lot these passed few days.

not sure if i posted this in the wrong place. i dont know what im doing.
i had this working besides a few minor screw ups. should have left it alone.
even after following the steps exactly, i cant get anything working.

Updating to the latest Ashita fixed it for me
