Solo server install

If I wanted to get a simple, single user server on a desktop (for myself) to experiment with, would the install be the same as in the wiki, or would be there any kind of truncation?

it's the same, i have a solo server and used the wiki to set it up

that's basically the target of the wiki, minus the auto restarter. all of section 1 and 2 would be all you need
