Fedora 19 & 20 x64 bit, compile successful.
Centos 6 x64, compile successful
Debian 7.6 x64 successful.

Seems upto date.

Install the libraries, create sym link for mysqlclient in lib64, then configure and make.

but yet? I recall that I started in fedora . May you explain the process really has to do?
