Navicat

I'm in the process of gathering everything required to set up my own server using the wiki provided. When I looked into purchasing Navicat, I was blown away by the price of purchasing it. I have downloaded the 30 day trial right now. So is there a cheaper version or another program I can use that will do the same thing as Navicat for a more reasonable price? I will use the 30 day trial of Navicat to set up the server since the wiki uses that program in its steps.

any mysql workbench will work fine
you could even just use the command line if you wanted to

Server is up. All I really need is a guide to help me through updating the master folder. I found some, but there's a lot of talk about committing and pulls, but I'm so lost.
