Visual Studio 2013

So is VS2013 no long able to compile the servers anymore? I'm currently on W7 and 2015 isn't supported for it at all. I was looking to install the new platform toolset but it doesn't like a viable option. So I am guessing I should upgrade to windows 8 and then get VS2015?

2015 works on 7 fine, and is supported by Microsoft in that configuration.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had a fresh install and for whatever reason VS2015 wasn't working on my old install of W7. I upgraded to 8 and am liking it so far, and I finally got everything working without a hitch :D
