Server on google cloud

Hi all. I have access to google cloud, and can easily create a decent VM with the amount of credit I have on the platform. The VM would be Ubuntu 14.04, so I shouldn't have any issues with setting up the server software. Is something like this viable? Technically, I do not know a ton of stuff about the limitations of a cloud VM... so I'm hoping an expert may be able to chime in. Is this worth pursuing?

No idea, if you can run the server a have a MySQL database you could almost run it. I think there are some issues running it on Linux right now though..

You would do better with Amazon web services. They have everything you need.

I actually went with a Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter VM, 4 vCPU, 26GB RAM, 500GB HD. I have everything installed, just need to configure it.

There shouldn't be anything stopping you from running it on any of the cloud providers.

That said, I'm working on containerizing DSP to make it even easier to do so, from any host environment. Still interested in cloud hosting? Check out this thread.
