Minimum Requirements
So I am looking into setting up a dedicated server and I was curious to know what the minimum requirements to run the server were. I'm looking at 2.5 ghz processing power with 3 gb ram and alot of space. What are the specs on the box running the Darkstar test server.
Re: Minimum Requirements
The test server is running inside a VM. It is Windows 7 x32 with 4GB memory and 150GB hdd
Darkstar itself won't be your problem, it's the bandwidth for all the clients. Once I got around 60 people on at once it was using about 60KB/sec upstream.

Re: Minimum Requirements
FYI I ran a headless linux server on a 400 MHz Celeron (P3 generation) with 512 MB of RAM. It only ever had 3-4 people on it tops but there were no indications of any slow-downs. Like whasf said, the hardware likely won't be an issue.
