Ashita - Prompt Says "Closing"

This is pretty complicated for me to try to get this into Emulator mode. I believe I have followed all instructions carefully but I have a feeling I screwed up somewhere. I have created a user name and password, done successfully. When I try to log in, I end up with a closing message. Now, do I not have Ashita pointing to the correct area or do I need to reinstall FFXI fresh (I had maintained copies on my computer when I had played live over a year ago)? This is what shows up (in case the image below is too small):

Successfully logged in as Apricoth!
Connected to server!
Resolving host: Apricoth-PC

Closing...

Yeah - I run it as Administrator and not as Administrator, result ends up the same.

Looks like it can't start the client for some reason. I'd do a check files on it to make sure it is ok

and make sure the path in the profile to the launcher is correct

Hi! I retake this topic for the same problem.

My client is up to date, and Ashita too. My data folder is good in the FFXI folder.

Looks like this issue might start being more prevalent. I ended up doing a complete reinstall of windows (see the NAT Reflection and Connection Issues threads) Current thought is Avast-Antivirus (or other anti-virus) or a Windows update is borking xiloader.

Humm, I disable my Windows firewall for a test and nothing change. My Antivirus is Windows Defender, so, I dont think so it's him.

Means we are probably looking at a windows update that borked it for some of us.
And it's infuriating when you are geek that knows how to fix stuff and none of the fixes work.

I'm on day 4 of a complete reinstall, with Avast anti-virus installed and ever so slowly pushing through the Windows 10 updates making sure I can connect and play on my and other servers every step of the way.

I'm going to copy my install to the Windows 7 machine in the morning and see if that fixes that machine.

Barring that it seems like only a complete reinstall or maybe a rollback (if you are so lucky to use the backup feature) will be the only fix.
I will update tomorrow.
