I'm running the server on my local network, connecting two clients successfully. The clients are running on the same PC.
I'm running into problems with the settings overwriting from one client to the other. Settings like music volume or background aspect ratio. Also the macro palettes keep overwriting one another upon login.
I've set the two clients to use two different accounts.
The folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER
only has one folder for storing the macros and settings, named "1000". Should there not be 2 separate folders
if I use two accounts with Ashita?
Where am I going wrong?
Dual boxing overwrites my macros and settings
Re: Dual boxing overwrites my macros and settings
nowhere really. just use different pages for each character. or book, i can't remember if it's macro page or macro book
Re: Dual boxing overwrites my macros and settings
One option is to only use one character position on each acct and create filler characters.
Example:
acct1
[HeroOne]
acct2
[FillerTwoA]
[HeroTwo]
acct3
[FillerThreeA]
[FillerThreeB]
[HeroThree]
acct4
[FillerFourA]
[FillerFourB]
[FillerFourC]
[HeroFour]
etc.
Where "Hero" characters are the ones you actually play.
Example:
acct1
[HeroOne]
acct2
[FillerTwoA]
[HeroTwo]
acct3
[FillerThreeA]
[FillerThreeB]
[HeroThree]
acct4
[FillerFourA]
[FillerFourB]
[FillerFourC]
[HeroFour]
etc.
