Is it possible to set up a Windower4 client to work with DSP? If so, is there a guide for it? I've looked on the forum and through Windower's folder, and can't find anything to configure it with...

Windower4 is not currently compatible with DSP.

Hey Kat,
In order to use windower on private server I had to replace the POL.exe in the playonline directory with the POL.exe from FFXI-BOOT files. Then windower will connect. Thus far I've only had one issue and that was on Sinister Skies where the /sea all & Auctionhouse (Search server) did not work if you were on windower.
In the ffxi-boot.ini put the address you want to connect too. User name and password are your choice as it will ask for it regardless when you attempt to connect.
both of these files go directly into the playonline directory - make sure you back up your pol.exe
If you use Ashita I tend to use the newever version of FFXIBoot VC10 or whatever its called and requires no renaming of files.

in order to fix this issue you should only have to change the DNS for sinisterskies to the ip address at that point the search and AH should function as normal
