Constantly getting error ffxi-3331

Hey all, so built my server just over a week ago and used the most recent branch. Looks like the game updated on may 9th, some people are getting errors saying the game is out of date and their version says Ver.30160427_0 however everyone that is currently playing just fine says 30160329_1.

I'm looking into getting them all able to connect and curious do I need to update my servers version.info AND if I do will the older versions be able to connect still or will they have to update as well?

or is there a way to have the people with the 427_0 version change something on their end to allow them to trick it into thinking they have 30160329_1 and be able to connect?

client version needs to match that in version.info
if it doesn't they won't be able to connect

change version.info to use whatever /ver the latest client update uses and have everyone update
while this will allow players to connect, it's worth noting there's gonna be bugs due to client/server having incorrect info on npcs and such so it's usually best to wait until we update the server for the latest version before reporting any bugs

I noticed some servers have it set to allow version 30160329_1 AND version 30160427_0 how would something like that work? I tried just adding a 2nd Client_VER: in the version.info file but that just checked for the 2nd listed not the first. I'm not sure if something like "CLIENT_VER: 30160427_0 & 30160329_1" would work not.

you'd have to modify the lobby server yourself to do anything more than checking the one string

I updated ffxi/version.info to the one shown in the PlayOnline > Check Files for FFXI, I still cannot connect though, not even to the lobby, is there something else to do?

Edit: I had originally updated the server from the latest repo commit, but this doesn't seem to be working right now. I reverted back to my original commit (a11050e) and now I was able to connect, I updated the version (30160427_0) and it works. Friends have also connected.
