Visual Basic not opening project?

I followed the steps for setting up the server, and when I got to the step where I have to open the first project file in Visual Basic, an error pops up saying it cannot open 'because its project type is not supported by this version of the application.' But I downloaded the version I got from the wiki, so I'm not sure what's happening. Thanks for any help.

DSP is written in C/C++, not Visual Basic.
