Deprecated Darkstar fourms

I've gone through all of the steps on the guides here to get connected. I decided to use Ashita to connect with Dark Star.

After doing some trial and error with getting my username and password set up, I finally was able to successfully login. At that point, windows started acting like it was going to install or configure FFXI (even though I already have) and it gives me this error message-



I tried pressing okay to this message and it says this-



Does anyone know what this file is? I've browsed through just about all of my files and I can't find it for the life of me.

Any help is much appreciated!

Something broke during the install. It is trying to repair it. That installer should be on your original installation media so try using it from there.

Only problem with that is I've gone through my original files.. Either this file is not there or I don't know exactly where I should be looking for it.

Microsoft Installer package. They're the successor to setup.exe files.

There are three likely reasons for this:
Your original installation media is damaged.
A different installation media was used to install than you are using to repair.
Something modified the registry and screwed up the install info.

If it were anything but FFXI I would recommend re-installing from scratch, but I've had FFXI trash my Windows 7 after uninstalling and re-installing (not kidding).

Yeah I better not reinstall it. This was already my second install. Haha.
