Hello !
I played on the DarkStar test server a couple of months ago and everything was fine.
Two days ago, I logged on again and as soon as I attacked a monster, I crashed. I tried several times, same result.
So, I tried patching my client (using the wiki instructions) and getting a more recent version of Ashita.
Now, whenever I try to connect to the test server, Ashita brings an error message saying "Ashita failed to inject into PlayOnline".
I have double-checked and the boot file it points to is the right one, or at least I think it is.
I'd love to be able to play again ! Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance !

Update your client.
As for Ashita, make sure you are running as an Administrator.

Re: [Client] Can't connect to test server anymore
Ashita is running as an admin user, and I have updated my client, or at least I think I have.
Could you tell me what I am doing wrong ? I followed this guide :

Every time a new patch comes out you must update your client or lots of weird things will happen (wrong messages will appear, npcs don't show up)
1. Download this patch patch
2. Extract its contents to your PlayOnline/Squareenix/Final Fantasy XI directory.
3. Go into Playonline and check files on FFXI (its version should be undefined)
4. Wait until Check Files has finished
5. Copy your 'data' folder from /PlayOnlineViewer/ to /FINAL FANTASY XI/
6. Update your launcher.
Re: [Client] Can't connect to test server anymore
To easily get updates for FFXi just do the following:
1. Open your Final Fantasy XI folder; such as:
C:\Program Files\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XI\
2. Delete a random .DAT file, such as:
ROM\0\0.DAT
3. Open PlayOnline and run Check Files for FFXI.
Let the Check Files run and it should snag any update that is missing.

Re: [Client] Can't connect to test server anymore
I did what you suggested, and it silently replaced the file I deleted. The file check said that no problem was found... I just don't get it.
I still get the same injection error message.

Change the version from EU to US or w/e that fixed it iirc
