Hello!

Sooo I am hosting a server on my PC. I can get on the game perfectly fine through it, but my friend cannot (friend is on a seperate internet connection and no where near here :P ) On my end it says he logs in then logs out. On his end, ashita opens the cmd box, logs in and then disappears without loading the game.

Any ideas?

If he tries to run the boot-loader manually without passing through Ashita he should see the error he really receives.

This will help us to help you :)

Progress! He deleted an FFXI file and did check files. Now if logs in and then pol.exe crashes.

And someone from the irc tried to connect and WAS successful.

There was an update to FFXI today. I cannot connect anymore so we'll have to wait for a dev to check why we cannot start the game anymore.

To fix the initial issue be needed to update FFXI through Playonline check files. Then he needed visual c++ 2013. The one in the wiki is 2012.
