Crash on @Zone command

Post by Crystan » Tue Feb 13, 2018 4:03 pm

Hi guys. Top job with this still by the way. I barely have any issues with the build!

I still haven't got airships to work yet but that isn't the most important thing on my list yet...

I seem to be having an issue when using the @zone command. The moment I @zone to another area, R=0, S detariorates and boom... SQL gas crashed and game server crashed. I have to restart the server again and then it's fine. .. as long as I don't use @zone.

All other commands work fine, just this one doesn't want to play ball, regardless which area I try...

Any ideas?

Haven't heard any other reports of it. Where is it crashing in the code?

Ok guys had a quick look hut work is mental at the min so having trouble getting any time to look at it.

I tried a different zone (106 Valkurm Dunes) I know my character has been in. That's 6 zones tested, 2 new to characer, 4 already explored areas. All 6 have crashed the server.

When I looked at the screen on server, I couldn't see the error as the xxx has stopped responding box had come up and blocked the screen. Also after checking the log in the folder, it hadn't recorded the session.

It had caused the SQL to crash and close, and only the world server. Login and search were unaffected but closed due to SQL closing.

Ill try again and get more informationin around... say 16 hours after Im home from work...

Is the server running on Linux?

We need more details, like a screenshot in Visual Studio showing where in the code it's crashing.

ok so took a few tries standing next to my screen staring at it whilst trying to see the damn thing before window crashed. This is what came up at the exact moment of the crash. This crash closes both SQL and world server.

[21/Feb] [08:27:38] [Error] [21/Feb] [08:27:38] [Status] luautils::free... -OK
Assertion failed: nbytes ==sizeof <dummy> <..\..\..\..\src\signaler.cpp:303>

Anyone know what happened?

The log output really doesn't tell us anything, very rarely would that info be actually useful in a crash. Please check the link whasf gave and make a crash dump.
Hi, I run The Demiurge server.
