Deprecated Darkstar fourms

I've been trying to get the game installed and can't get it to find anything when I check files so there's no repair option. I deleted 0.dat and it still doesn't find anything wrong with it. Besides that, when I tried to log in to the server via Ashita it just brings up a command prompt and doesn't go any further. Not sure what to do from here. Anyone know what I need to do to get this working? Thanks in advance!

I had to edit the info in the config to get to the server but apparently it's down right now when I check the roster, so maybe that's part of the problem. Still can't get the files to repair.

I did at the outset, went back and did it again, still won't! Is it possible it's already there? I kinda don't think so...

if FFXI doesn't show up in check files, then you didn't extract it right (that's all the patch does)

I'm pretty sure I extracted it correctly, it had to overwrite files.

Even after downloading and extracting the manual update linked in the wiki it STILL doesn't find anything! IDK.

Heh. I figured it out. I was checking the PlayOnline client, not FFXI. No wonder. ._.
