I updated my server and client for the first time since the September retail update, and some obscure things are happening.

• - Animations randomly don't play. I casted a cure spell and nothing seemed to happen, tried it again and it said "You must wait longer before casting that spell" - as if it actually did cast, but gave no indication at all it was happening.
  - Mob randomly disappeared during combat. I used a BLU spell on mob, the casting graphics appeared and stayed, everything seemed to lag for a few seconds (I wasn't lagging), mob then vanished, with my character still engaged. Had to disengage and got no exp or "defeated" message.
  - Random NPC's and field manuals sometimes don't load or appear unless I zone. Sometimes they load fine - seems totally random.
  (on that same note, some of them don't respond and "freeze" my character into position. Camera can be moved, but nothing else responds and I have to force close the client.)
  - OP warped to Valkurm, character model disappeared, but didn't tele. I could still move "character", zoned into moghouse and appeared in Valkurm, where I originally tele'd.
  - Upper Jeuno permanently displays "Downloading Data.." at the top.

I realize this is a lot, and it's all totally random but I have a feeling it's all somehow related. I appreciate any suggestions.

i'm gonna go ahead and revert the commit that did that, since I imagine most people will be playing on a relatively low ping/low population server anyways
