Deprecated Darkstar fourms

I assume this is due to today's update but on the off chance it isn't I felt best to ask.
So this is my first time installing Dark Star... I used the latest gitpull (today 11am) and updated my client and was able to get the server up and running and connect no problem, yet I am unable to equip gear and my stats (when looked at in game) are also empty.

Is there a place to check client/server version for mismatch? (I did some searching but didn't see it >_<)

are you getting any errors in DSGameServer/DSConnectServer? it's likely that you missed importing some sql files
also, some NPCs might be bugged for you due to the retail update

Only error is one for the "Sacrarium" zone.lua trying to index a nil value, which wouldn't seem to effect the starting zones.
I will assume ver update is the issue for now and have some fun running around the various zones like I used to. ^_^

As usual I pick the worst days to start a new project lol. I there a usual update cycle time to when I should gitpull again? Or do I need to find a way to downgrade the client?

if you updated your ffxi yesterday/today then it's probably the client, server hasn't been updated for latest version yet

yes, the server is typically unstable for a day after a retail update (you picked the worst day, as you said)
