error downloading data

Hi, I made an own server and I have a problem.
If I want to play it I have no problems when I set the zone_ip to my internal one: 192.168.1.34
but, when I put my external IP it doesnt find the server and I can't play, altough my friends from their home can access and play it.

I've been trying everything but i can't find out the problem.

Your router isn't allowing connections to the external ip from an internal address. Can you move your server to a DMZ in the router config?

I put the computer ip to DMZ host right? so i put 192.168.1.34 there?=

It depends on how your router config works, but generally if there is an option for DMZ then that should be the one you are looking for. Plug the LAN IP of the computer you want in there and it'll no longer be protected by the router's firewall, but you won't have any more router-related connection issues.

I've done that but it doesn't work, still can't find server.. so strange!!

I read something about Hotspot shield but i am not sure if it's safe, is it?
EDIT: I tried it but doesn't make any difference, i get another IP but it still doesn't find the server... idk what else can i do

I solved this using a program called: Hamachi that create a lan through internet. thx for help tho ^^

I'm also encountering this issue. All ports are forwarded, I created a DMZ, and yet I keep getting stuck at DLing data. What exactly did you do with Hamachi to make it work?

I'm assuming he created a VPN and used the VPN address for himself and his friends to connect to.
