Deprecated Darkstar fourms

I've been going crazy trying to set this up for about 4 hours now. I have them both set up to go to the old school server (I also tried the test) but they both keep saying
Connected to server!
Resolving host: Cod01
Sending account id..
Closing..

I've looked around the forum and tried all the past fixes such as updating everything and double checking paths but nothing has worked.

The error log shows none.

Please help.

1. Running as admin?
2. Client fully updated?

Yes, and as far as I know, I run the check and no errors or updates comes up.

It can pass the check if you didn't pre-update right (copy the data folder over as specified). What version is your FFXI client? It should be 30150508_5

Currently redoing the patch update step, will say results in a bit.

Apparently, I didn't understand the fact that there was a drop box on the POL check files. So I was checking the launcher itself over and over instead of the game, and hence copied that data over. Thank you for your assistance.
