Deprecated Darkstar fourms

Whenever I hit launch on Windower4, the launcher I'm using, the immediate command prompt looking thing logs in, connects, and everything's just peachy up to there.
Then it opens a solid black screen with red text in the upper left hand corner showing

And from there it lists addon and plugin programmers and contributors.

It is at this black screen the problem occurs.

The FFXI Title screen never appears, and after 5 to 10 seconds of sitting at this black screen (Where in multiple video tutorials the FFXI title screen appears) I get a notice box that says "xiloader.exe has stopped working."

I've followed multiple tutorials to the dot, uninstalled reinstalled, rechecked files and repaired them when necessary.

I have no idea what's causing it to crash, and if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

I am running Windows 8.1 if that helps at all. Any information that is needed I can provide.

disable all of your windower addons/plugins

I have disabled all addons and plugins. Unless there is a button in Windower that says 'Disable addons and plugins' that I have missed, they are all turned off or not downloaded.

The issue remains the same.

what's the version of FFXI as reported in playonline check files?

PlayOnline Viewer is version 1.18.15e.

My Final Fantasy XI, as it appears in Play Online file check, is 'Ver.30150619_2'

Before the file check the version was '???'

Ugh. I'm having this same issue. Has this ever been resolved? Any work around? I'm on Windows 10.

I guess my issue is slightly different in that I never even get FFXI to start loading up. Basically, the console logs me into a server, and then as it's initiating, I just get a Windows error popup telling me xiloader.exe has stopped responding, which is then replaced with another popup telling me it has stopped working. I never get a black screen that should be the FFXI title page.
