Deprecated Darkstar fourms

Got my own test server up and running, I am wondering if there is any special way to shutdown the server? I /shutdown my FF11 client and tried to input commands in the servers windows..nothing so I click the X to close the server window.

Is there a safer method to shutting down my own server?

That's about it, make sure everyone is logged off and just close the window.

since everything important is handled in mysql, there isn't much to worry about when you close the server...just don't restart your mysql server with your game server still running or shit will hit the fan.
