Deprecated Darkstar fourms

hello and thank you for reading here is what i have done:

-fresh install twice
-tried ffxi boot and mxi.exe, both crash
- installed C++ 2010
-cant find msvc100.dll (only msvcp/r/100.dll)
-checked version NA/EU/JP (I am using the NA version)
-Contacted server admin (server is up to date)
-Change persmisisons on msvc files
-cannnot find msvc100.dll file without the p or r
-also i have checked the trouble shooting page
please help i have been trying to fix this problem for 4days now

I think you need .net 3.5 at a minimum to play.

You could try checking to see if you have that set up?

I vaguely remember getting that error message the first time I played here when I didn't have .net 3.5 installed and it went away after I downloaded and installed it.

msvc100.dll is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

i also have already installed C++2010
before i reposted this I repaired both still no luck,
is there anything else we can try?

Have you updated your client via POL's "Repair files"? If so, you need to apply the patch that is for the update they did last week, we still don't have the server working with the new client yet.

i need to download the patch that takes me back to ver_3 and not use ver_4 of final fantasy?
