Nice, but the search server has to be running on the same system as the game/world server (afaik), it just uses a different port...

So you have rack mount servers but a cheap 4 port netgear switch?? Where's the Cisco 7500?? ;)

It's for extracting the 3D terrain data from the .dat files. Eventually someone will have to do that so we can have proper monster movement :)

Thanks Whasf! That would explain some problems.. :D Ill Fix it right away.

Yeah the Netgear switch is just for my Small Network Test Rack. Most builds I do get tested there before I feel confident enough for them to be committed to the bigger 42U Dell Rack Enclosure. No Cisco 7500 . The Best I got at the moment is a Cisco 1921. Its Located in the bigger Rack Enclosure along with some other Rack Mount Servers for various things.

Do you think with this Setup ill be able to support at-least 6 Clients over a LAN? :D.

That could host a few hundred clients at least

I wanted to check out the desert world client, but I'm getting errors when running it. I can see the first item fine but when I hit enter and it starts zipping through all of the files, it says:

Debug error!
File: c:\dsp\win32\thedesertworld_client\tdwmap.cpp
Line: 630

Run-Time Check Failure #2 - Stack around the variable 'opname' was corrupted

Not that I know what I'm doing with the tool anyway.
