Deprecated Darkstar fourms

Now that Darkstar has been patched with the latest client update, I plan on updating the old-school test server on Monday April 1 at 7:30PM. After that update you will need to have the most up to date client, otherwise you will experience issues.

You don't necessarily have to install the SoA expansion, you just need to update your client via POL. This will let you continue to play but not get into the new areas.

If you want to get into the new areas (once we incorporate them), you will then need to have the SoA expansion installed.

launch playonline -> check files -> select ffxi from the dropdown -> go afk for an hour

if it says no problems found, delete a file somewhere in the ffxi folder to make it find a problem
