I noticed crafting guilds aren't fully implemented. You can craft items, but you can't join any guilds, consequently barring you from getting support/recipes from guild NPCs.

I'm curious about what's holding the guilds back, as well. I haven't investigated, but logically it seems like the biggest hurdle would be scripting the menus/quests, using a variable (or a new column in char/char_stats) to store which guild you belong to, and then potentially getting the core to work with that data, as far as skill-ups and caps go.
tl;dr - Seems pretty basic on the surface, just needs someone that scripts and codes.

There is a different packet when you buy from a guild shop and we don't have any data on it to be able to implement it yet. I don't know if there is one for when you join a guild either (I'm guessing not, but I'm not in a place I can test that right now).

Joining a guild shouldn't be an issue at all...that would just be another column in the chars table to track what guilds you are in and what guild you are currently accumulating guild points with.
It seems the shops do need some packet love though.
