FFXI not showing up in check files

I know I have to log into the game to get it to show but .. I can't neither can i get a trial version is there any file i can replace to flag check files in the POL.

I just recently had to reinstall ffxi... i did it without a trail version...
when you install it and start up pol, it will update.

After the update, it will ask you if u are a new member or a returing member; click returning (or something similar).
for your Id, just enter a random username consisting of just capital letters and numbers.
You will need to have the file.txt in you final fantasy XI folder.
If you don't have it, you can get the file from the wiki but the link appears to be down, so I will upload a backup of it, for you, if you want it.

With the file.txt in your ffxi folder, it should do a check no problem, and you should be able to connect to a server.

What I did was download PXI-FFXI Files and put it in my ffxi folder ... logged on to POL and wallllaaah FFXI_Unknown Version.. Now doing a check files... .. Trying to find out server Ip for test server as well and where to download ashita boot.
