Just posting this for people that weren't around last time there was a major client update.

So, just judging by those posts, it sounds like SE changed some of the packet structure again.

Also, the internal DATs had space for 256 zones, and there were 7 unused zone ids still. SE added 12 new zones. This means any packet dealing with a zoneid may have been changed to add at least a new bit.

What this means for you:
If you update your client right now, you may not be able to play until we can get them compatible again. That may take a few weeks. Please be patient while we get that sorted out, whether you updated or not.

Once the core has been updated to use the new packets though, your old client probably won't work, and you will need to update to play again. Keep an eye on the changelog (posted below) and you'll probably see when we switch over.

you have to reapply the fix like when you update your client the first time you install

im working on a setup which installs complete ffxi with all expansions and the newest update end of this month which must not be repaired with filecheck !
so be patient...

thats the problem when i go to repair ff11 is gone the other two options are still there just missing FF. or am i missing a step?

i dunno if i understand you right...
you installed SoA US and intalled the update files new, and cant update anymore know ?!
strange thing... the SoA setup works fine for me !
try to download the full iso which i uploaded and install the game complete and then try to update it with the patch files...
or wait a week for my selfmade installer !

when i installed SoA i think it crashed a few times, but that was because everyone else was updating at the time lol, you shouldn't have issues if you apply the patch to enable Final Fantasy XI in the check files menu
