do chat filters work?

As a matter of fact I am using an older (probably very old) state of the darkstar server. main purpose is to have a local system running to investigate the behaviour of ffxi using memory reading. the client dates back to version 30131009_0 and seems to work fine with the darkstar server.

Now what has that to do with the subject? With the current client and the aged darkstar server I recognized that any chat filters setup don't work and are not remembered after client restart.

So, anyone using a current server and a current client: do chat filters work? Do they get remembered?

Kind regards,
Omen

It hasn't been implemented yet. Feel free to write it and submit a pull request. It'd sure be handy to keep those persistent across logins!

It'd have to be coded handled in the loader, same as macros.

maybe.. but it might not even be that either (don't your chat filters save across different computers?)

there's a key combination to save macros/download them from pol servers (before the character selection screen iirc) so it'd prolly need to be stored somewhere on the server too

I remember losing those settings anytime I had to reinstall so I was pretty sure was in the user settings stored in my installation dir.
