Ok, we have come up with a way to get players to ToAU so you have new areas to explore and complain about ;)

Here's how:
  1. Go to http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/The_R ... Aht_Urhgan and read
  2. Get the first cutscene from Faursel
  3. Trade him 500k (you only have to do this once)
  4. You won't see the message but you'll get the map for Wajaom Woodlands as he warps you
  5. Run your pretty little ass to Al Zhabi or Whitegate
Some notes:
  • When you get to Al-Zhabi you will see some key doors are closed. Talk to Yayaroon at J-7 to teleport to Whitegate
  • In Whitegate you can talk to Hugo (he's right outside the Mog House) to warp to Al-Zhabi
  • In Whitegate you can go to G-10 and go through the Ironbound Gate to get to Bhaflau Thickets (instead of going back to Al Zhabi)
  • Have an Instant Warp Scroll with you at all times incase you get stuck!!
You will find a lot of broken stuff, but hopefully this will give a few "new" areas to explore and keep you busy :)

Next time you talk to Faursel he'll just teleport you to WG for free! :)

You can, just don't talk to Faursel. ;)

What about besiege? It isn't implemented is it? That would be difficult to test or debug as npcs disappear if town is conquered right?

Pretty much nothing is implemented aside from NPC dialogue and normal mob spawns, and even those are wonky. Really this is just for a change of scenery, anything worth doing in ToAU was an event of some sort that you shouldn't expect to see anytime soon.

I'm glad I can afk in Whitegate again, though. Playing on this server has reminded me how much I enjoyed the ToAU areas.
