Hey i been hearing little things here and there about this DesertWorld client and I just wanted to see if someone could shed some more light on this.

I'm not sure where it stands, but the idea of DesertWorld is to convey to the server where floors and walls are. Mobs don't wander right now because the server has no idea where they can wander, and they'll just walk through walls/floors that get in their way.
One of the devs might have an answer for how it stands. I know there are pieces of it in the repository.

You're pretty much right. To get TDW to compile you need the DirectX8 SDK installed (or re-configure it for DX9)

thanks that sounds like we need it lol
