Hi all, I wanted to drop a line and say "thanks!" for everyone's hard work into the emulator, both past and present contributors. I loaded the server with no problem and in less than 15 minutes on an Ubuntu VM; the instructions were precise and worked well without extra fidgeting.
I haven't played FFXI since 2005 (or just shortly before ToAU dropped, whenever that was), but I always wanted to get back into it. I reupped my account once with wings of the goddess expansion, but it just wasn't the same for me, so I canceled the subscription because I didn't want to pay just to log in and interact with the world.
I've been able to do just that now with your master piece, just felt that a big hearty "Thanks!" was needed to be said. I've enjoyed leaving Bastok and listening to the music while interacting with the mobs. It may be a single player experience from an MMO game, but I just love it.
