POL Crash
Re: POL Crash
For those wondering, this latest Seekers update to FFXI has changed some functions that Ashita hooks. This required us to edit the main core hook of Ashita to hook the new functions, which means the hooks will fail if you are not updated to the latest version of FFXI.
If you play on DSP, you will need to use an earlier version of Ashita instead. You can use a real SVN client to get a previous revision from our release svn here:
http://svn.ffevo.net/ashita/release/
Revision 103 works for DSP currently if you are not updated.

Re: POL Crash
Thank you very much for this comment. This fixed my POL crash issue when booting up Ashita. I can play FFXI now with no crashes even when I attack!atom0s wrote:For those wondering, this latest Seekers update to FFXI has changed some functions that Ashita hooks. Re: POL Crash
Ok...so this is an old topic, but I am now running into this problem on one of the accounts on my server. Was working fine, we ran into a mission that the instance would not activate so I rebooted the server. We all logged back in except for one, which now has "pol.exe has stopped working" every time it gets ready to launch the game. Any help would be appreciated please...thanks!
Re: POL Crash
Running into the crash issue myself. Wondering why the link in this post is password protected now?atom0s wrote:For those wondering, this latest Seekers update to FFXI has changed some functions that Ashita hooks. Re: POL Crash
Because Ashita v1 was discontinued. Get Ashita v2 from here:

Re: POL Crash
Is there anywhere to download older versions/revisions of Ashiva v 2?
Re: POL Crash
the ashita repository at http://delvl.ffevo.net/atom0s/ashita-v2 should let you get older versions if you get it via gitcryogenic wrote:Is there anywhere to download older versions/revisions of Ashiva v 2?
Re: POL Crash
I know this is an old topic, but this exact issue (the POL has stopped working) began happening to me suddenly. I have v2 and no previous versions. All my FFXI and POL files are up to date. ANy idea what could be causing the crashes?

plugins are the first thing to disableSulitas wrote:I know this is an old topic, but this exact issue (the POL has stopped working) began happening to me suddenly. I have v2 and no previous versions. All my FFXI and POL files are up to date. ANy idea what could be causing the crashes?
Re: POL Crash
Thank you for the quick response. I don't have any plugins or anything running in addition. I actually completely uninstalled and re-installed ashita to make sure.kjLotus wrote:plugins are the first thing to disableSulitas wrote:I know this is an old topic, but this exact issue (the POL has stopped working) began happening to me suddenly.
