I've searched a bit online, but only found Windower that can supposedly do the trick...
I would like to run 2 instances of FF11 on my machine and connect to my own local server. Is it possible?
I should add that I followed the excellent Wiki guide and am connected to my machine local server. Curious if it would be possible to load a second instance of FF11
Thanks!

Re: Dual instances on one machine?
I know it's possible to run two or more ffxi instances on a single machine.
Just use the mXI client thingy they provided and it has windower already built into it.
I don't know how that would work if you ran the server on your computer at the same time though. Is that what you are trying to do or just multibox on somebody elses server?

Be sure to disable LightLuggage in mxi's client.ini if you have trouble connecting, or staying connected.

Re: Dual instances on one machine?
Did this sucessfully by using mXI and ffxi boot just in-case anyone was curious..
Oh i had to change the client.ini for mXI to use windower mode 2.. Dunno if thats an issue for anyone else, but it worked for me

Re: Dual instances on one machine?
How did you do this? When I run ffxi-boot, mxi just crashes.

Re: Dual instances on one machine?
I don't think ffxi-boot works very well with dual boxing.
I would suggest using the mXI or Ashiita client. Ashiita does seem to run a little better than mXI imo but both work well for me.

Re: Dual instances on one machine?
I still don't understand how to set this up. Ashita requires a loader, which I used ffxi-boot. It still crashes.
EDIT: Ok I got it. DON'T run the instances as administrator.
