Server IP

Post by TGatlin2790 » Sat Nov 15, 2014 3:12 am

I apologize if this has been asked, but I couldn't find anything about it. I've been playing around to see if I could get my own server up and going. I'm pretty sure I've gotten most stuff setup right but I can't seem to figure out how to change the server to connect to my PC (still trying to connect to DS server)

You are not setting the boot command properly then or not using the correct config file that you edited.

Is the server on the same pc as your XI install or are they on seperate systems?

If you are using the new ashita as your launcher of choice you will need to place --hairpin (input external ip address here) into the boot command line in order to access a server that you have set up on the same rig. When I had the server installed on my pc I used the external ip address for my network and placed it into the equation found in the link within this post {https://wiki.dspt.info/index.php?title= ... the_Server} under the "Configure the zoneIP for the map server" portion. You will need to edit your navicat query in the database first, then add your hairpin in ashita and it should get you where you need to go. If the external IP address inside your boot command doesn't work try replacing it with --hairpin 127.0.0.1. if you plan to connect from your laptop on the same network you will nee to use --server (ip address of the host system here). Be sure to use the internal ip address of the host system instead of the external value for your query in navicat if you will be playing on your local network.
