FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
I am new to running a private server for a group of my friends. When I installed the server i followed the direction and set it up so that all of the expansions are available. When we play the game all of the expansions are lit up in the title screen. When we are playing none of the missions are available for any of the expansions past rise of Zilart.
Did i install an older version of the server software that doesn't have any missions or quests for the expansions?
If i did can someone post a link to where i can get the newest version of the server software to have these expansion available to me?
Thanks for any help!

The lastest version of DSP can be obtained from Github here:
https://github.com/DarkstarProject/darkstar
To enable the missions of all the expansions edit this file:
https://github.com/DarkstarProject/dark ... ttings.lua
You will want to change all of these to 1 to enable them:
ENABLE_COP = 0;
ENABLE_TOAU = 0;
ENABLE_WOTG = 0;
ENABLE_ACP = 0;
ENABLE_AMK = 0;
ENABLE_ASA = 0;
ENABLE_ABYSEA = 0;
ENABLE_SOA = 0;
Keep in mind though not all expansions are fully implemented, as well as some may be broken due to ID changes on the client. Be sure that your game client is up to date as well as DSP is designed to keep up with the most retail client.

Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
Thank you. I will try this and see if it works.
Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
I've followed this, but for some reason the expansions are still dark at login on my client. Do I need to do anything else?
Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
nope. the setting to light up the expansions in the client literally does only that - if you want it, it's in login_darkstar.conf
Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
Okay, got them lit up Didn't realize it didn't matter hehe. I'm not sure how exactly I managed to light them up, because I did a couple of things at once, modified them manually and also checked them in the DSP Control app I found on this forum. Not sure which thing lit 'em up, though, as nothing else I've done inside the DSP control app actually worked.
Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
The DSP Control app I created should change the login file automatically.
To light them up on login, you need to go here in the login_darkstart.conf:
This expansions should be set to 4094.
The DSP Control will allow you to select which expansions to enable, and then automatically set the expansions to the correct value.
I am in the middle of redoing it to make settings easier to change and apply, since I don't like the way I first made the different forms. But for now, what you need to do is:
Step 1: Select the Expansions settings: Here is the expansions selector: Select the expansions you want to use. If you select them all, then all the lights will light up in the client. The red outlined ones are the expansion and addon selection. The other settings are for expansion specific things (Like CoP battle caps): Please remember, my next release will completely change the configuration form layout, from, well, too many, to a single form with tabs to select your specific settings.
To light them up on login, you need to go here in the login_darkstart.conf:
Code: Select all
#Expansion Icons - 2 Bytes
#
#Byte 1 - Zilart to A Shantotto Ascension
#00000000 Bit0 - Not Used - Original FFXI bit
#00000010 Bit1 - Enables Rise of Zilart Icon
#00000100 Bit2 - Enables Chains of Promathia Icon
#00001000 Bit3 - Enables Treasures of Aht Urhgan Icon
#00010000 Bit4 - Enables Wings of The Goddess
#00100000 Bit5 - Enables A Crystalline Prophecy Icon
#01000000 Bit6 - Enables A Moogle Kupod'Etat Icon
#10000000 Bit7 - Enables A Shantotto Ascension Icon
#
#Byte 2 - Vision of Abyssea to Seekers of Adoulin
#00000001 Bit0 - Enables Vision of Abyssea
#00000010 Bit1 - Enables Scars of Abyssea
#00000100 Bit2 - Enables Heroes of Abyssea
#00001000 Bit3 - Enables Seekers of Adoulin

I think it was your app that did the trick for me actually, now that I think about it. It's an awesome app, I can't wait to get it working on my server ^_^
Re: FFXI private server expansions past Rise of Zilart
My suggestion, grab the most recent one I just uploaded. I tried to make the UI much cleaner.

THIS IS AMAZING! If it does what I think it does. Would it be possible for me to set up a private server with only content through COP using your app? If I only enable the original FFXI, ROZ, and COP, what will that change? Will areas from other expansions, like Wajaom Woodlands, still be available????? Will NPCs from expansions other than ROZ and COP show up in towns like Jueno????
