Do you have hours you run? I tried pinging you and everything came back 100% loss except for your sandbox but your server wasn't up.

Not sure what you're pinging but most of my routers block ping requests. No, the server is typically up 24/7 unless it crashes and we don't see it immediately. It will be going down on 3/2 thru 3/4 so I can move all of it over to a new location.

so far there is no reason why anyone would need the ip unless their Internet provider is having dns issues. But the ping will still usually give you an ip address just will reject the response. Traceroute also might work.. never tried and never needed to.

IP address changed 2 weeks ago, so please keep using the direct route of --server ffxi.bnet.cc

Also, added faster way to report downtime via my forums. Mainly because I need an alert system so it emails me as well as posts a new thread on forums.

I was playing in other server and now when i try to connect here it ask me to update my client again, is that really necessary? never had to update when changing servers

I usually do a Git Pull every 3-7 days. Once the connect server is updated from DSP, it will flag clients connecting to also update their client. I try to keep as much in-line with DSP's updates as possible.
