Failed to connect to server

Hi, newbie here

So basically, I was trying to setup a private/public erver, I tried using 127.0.0.1 for the zone settings and it was a success.
But when I use the IP that I got from whatismyip.com which should be my public IP (if im not mistaken) and try to connect using ashita,
all I get is "Failed to connect to server" then Ashita closes.

What I know is my ISP uses dynamic IP which is 114.108.200.64 this is the IP I used for the zone settings.

ALSO! one more problem.
I installed FFXI in my laptop and updated it, checked files and no errors, but when I tried using ashita to connect to a private server like nasomi, I was able to login and connect but then ashita closes, I did run it as admin.

I know for the first part, if you want to test it using your external IP, you will need to go off that network. Try from a completely different IP address. Otherwise, you will need to --hairpin in to get access.

Thanks for you reply. I tried using the IP of my mobile internet, and I was able to get the login section from ashita, I tried logging in but it didn't logged me in instead it came back to the login section. I wonder if it has something to do with the slow connection from the mobile internet or something else may have caused it.

Anyhow, problem #2 issue is solved.

my ISP I think is using a proxy, can that be an issue? /sigh...
will it help if I buy my own domain name? if yes, is there any guide or tutorial on how to make it work?
