Client is in Japanese, please help

Client is in Japanese, please help

I have searched and searched for a fix to this issue but cannot find anything. If the answer is right in front of me I apologize. I have finally gotten set up and can log in and create a character, however the client appears to be in Japanese, all of the menus and whatnot are all Japanese characters. I installed from a NA copy of the Vanadiel collection 2008 that I used to play on live years ago, so I know the client I installed isn't a Japanese version. I am hoping this does not require a reinstall, but I will do what I have to. Does anyone know how to resolve this? or if there is a was to change my language or localization settings?

I meant to add that to my original post. It was a copy of the Vanadiel collection 2008. I have used the same discs to play on the live servers without issue. That's why I am so confused as to how this is occuring.

I have tried both the DA oldschool and quetzbirth servers with the same results. I also checked my profile settings in windower, and have changed between region auto detect and the NA option and logging in on each setting with no change. I can get all the way in, make a character and everything else seems to be working fine.

I am at work but I will try Ashita again when I get home. I have not modded the POL.exe file. I did re install the updated pol viewer after running into the MCVP120dll issue, but that was resolved with the c++ visual 2013 files i installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled FF and left the pol viewer repairing files while I am away. I will update once I get home.

I reinstalled the base game, then followed the link to the ERA post, and was able to log in to the ERA server through ashita, but the client was still in Japanese. I guess I need to start over and reinstall everything. I can try my original discs with the base game and rise of the zilart, but other than that I am out of ideas.
