r2186 on Linux
r2186 on Linux
Hello again. Starting the server (./dsgame) stops at "[Status] luautils:lua free... - [OK]", then shows the message "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" and crashes. After updating, I did the following:
1. Executed the new and modified .sql scripts.
2. Patched dssearch with dssearchv6.diff.
3. sh autogen.sh
4. CPPFLAGS=-m32 CXXFLAGS=-m32 ./configure
5. make
Haven't found anything yet to help me fix this. I appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you.

Re: r2186 on Linux
It could be a similar issue as reported in this other thread:
http://forums.dspt.info/viewtopic.php?f ... 2&start=10
You may try rolling back just the item_mods.sql to r2179 and see if it works?

Re: r2186 on Linux
That did work for me. Sorry for the duplicate post, searched for 2186 and not any previous revision. Apologies.

In another note, now ./dsconnect is not working for me:
[Error] make_listen_bind: bind failed (socket #3, code 98)!

Pay no attention. Restarted my VM and it's working now.

Re: r2186 on Linux
I'm experiencing some really strange behavior: after interacting with a NPC, my character name and appearance changes... when I zone out it returns to normal but will happen again when interacting with another NPC. Probably is a particular problem with my server, but has anyone experienced this? I don't want to report this as a bug yet because I'm running a personal private server and want to make sure the problem is just in my server...
Thanks...
Thanks...

Re: r2186 on Linux
If you go to your POL check files, for the FFXI version does it show ver 30121205_4 or something else?
Not sure what's the best way but you might need to somehow trigger the client to upgrade to the latest version... that would be my guess

Re: r2186 on Linux
I can only update FFXI If I purchase a content id again, right?
Edit: Nevermind, through check files it should be possible I guess.

Re: r2186 on Linux
Remember when updating your client you have to paste the Update Patch into the folder before you check the files. If you don't put the patch in every time you update so you see "Unknown Version" it'll go through the motions but will not update your client.azafaraht wrote:I can only update FFXI If I purchase a content id again, right?
