Wiki Client Setup Guide
I try to keep the wiki setup guide up-to-date as much as possible (and it can be edited by any registered user on the wiki in case I can't keep up). It is based on the guide from the old forums. You can read it at:

Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
I don't think the Jescin client works any more. I haven't been able to get it to work since I recently updated my ffxi game to the patch server.
FFXI ver 30121205_4 (the 1205 is the date when i updated Dec 5)
Ashita still works somewhat but the add on's give me a message that pointers need to be updated. I posted in the ashita client thread about that.
I'm still able to log on with the ashita client and play the game though. It's just the "windower" features don't work correctly.
I haven't tried just ffxi-boot but I assume it works since ashita logs me on.
Wiki client set up guide needs some lovin' from somebody with more knowledge than me.

Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
Your Ashita version is outdated. You can find out more on the ffevo forums and perhaps I'll throw together a self-updating package for it.
Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
There should be a "Ashita Updater.exe" in the version i posted, just make a copy of your private-server.xml if you use that AND your scripts/default.txt , it'll update those and revert your changes

Or if you understand how to edit them, use different file names
Test Server: Hanekawa | Fantasy World: Naito
An occasionally updated list of what works
Bugs reports go here. | Project chat here.
Things I've found, but don't plan to work on.

Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
This is my very first post so I apologize if this is in the wrong place, however the client setup page doesn't seem to be working. I just heard about these servers and I'm excited to check it out. Any help on getting start or when that wiki page will be up would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Wiki Client Setup Guide
Sorry about that...the box i set up the wiki on is kind of a pain to maintain because of the automated daily backups and the lack of allocated drive space, so sometimes if I let it go too long the drive fills up and that happens ^.^;
