San d'Orian mission 1-2 black screen

San d'Orian mission 1-2
Bat Hunt.
In King Ranperre's Tomb I-10,client tombstone, black screen after the story

SVN Revision:4056
Server and client all updated.

I found this to be the issue on mine too, however I have had 3 other people do this and NOT have the issue... Did you update to the october update? We're trying to sort out where exactly this is happening.

There is a similar issue in Bastok Dragon Fight - as well as Saving the Children in Sandy.
If you @release it screws up your screen but will get you passed the CS in both Saving the children as well as Bat hunt. but will lock you up for Basty 2-3

yea,update to the october update.
Today,I try create another 2 member,do this mission,the black screen again.
Then,I try use @release pass this CS, do Saving the Children ,no problem,
and rank up to 2,mission 2-1 no problem too,i trade ~12 crystals to Temple Knight NPC,obtain mission 2-3 Journey Abroad.But NPC Halver not give me the Letter to the Consuls,LOL,you are right, locked!.
So ,Please help , maybe 1-2 Solve, 2-3 no problem too. :)

Double check key item, I had one instance where there was no cutscene but the key item was indeed given. Unless your missing something getting to the BCNM is no problem... however in bastok (still testing others post october update) you LOCK hard and cannot get through the fight without GM mode let alone you have a dragon an eye and 5 respawning yags O.O...

The camera angle locks when you @release and your lucky if you even get to where you need to in order to end the bcnm. Also in the post update I have found that certain items react differently to updated people.

Example: @giveitem gravenet 1234 on a not updated system would name the item "Obtained 1234"
However in an updated system it says. "Do you want this treasure" or something to that extent but still gives the item...
Need to find a good easy way to downgrade until they work out the new bugs :( its the best advice atm unless there's a patch i havent seen.

If further testing shows relation to Oct 8th bug testing we should move this to :

Wierd... So i Qued up Sandy 2-3 today and Halver did in fact NOT give the letter to the consuls... ((Eerie twilight music)) and here I thought I broke something....

this is because of shifting text IDs after a retail update - it's a visual artifact only, and it should proceed normally.

unfortunately, we don't have any kind of automation yet to detect which text IDs shift after an update, so kind of have to manually go around and change a bunch of numbers (it's a right pain in the ass, too)

as for 1-2, i haven't updated my client yet so i can check the cutscene before and after and see if i can figure out what's going on.

i figured it out, npcids got shifted in the update (which is why rochefogne looks like vauderame, and vauderame has no model)

i'll try to fix it real quick

edit: and to make it clear, it is because of the october 8th update, if it happens in any more cutscenes please let me know

it should work as of r4068 on clients updated to oct. 8th (and won't work on older clients anymore)
